A Framework for Cyber Resilience in Critical Infrastructure
In the face of increasingly complex and dangerous cyber threats to critical infrastructure, this article introduces the "InfraGuard Cyber Security Framework," a comprehensive framework designed to address cyber threats in the era of digitalization and increasing connectivity. Employing a holistic approach through the concepts of "Cyber as a Shield," "Cyber as a Space," and "Cyber as a Sword," this framework provides the foundation for strengthening the security and resilience of critical infrastructure. Through the analysis of key metrics, this research highlights the importance of each aspect in enhancing the cyber resilience of critical infrastructure and demonstrates the correlation between achieving high levels in these metrics and stronger security and better recovery capabilities from cyber incidents. The practical implications of this research involve strengthening organizational security, improving situational understanding, and enhancing risk management practices, with collaboration between the public and private sectors being key to shaping a robust security ecosystem. The contributions of this research include the development of a framework aligned with contemporary cyber challenges and a deeper understanding of the role of critical infrastructure in national security. Amidst the evolving cyber threats, the "InfraGuard Cyber Security Framework" serves as a valuable resource to guide efforts in protecting critical infrastructure, providing a basis for further research and development in the field of cybersecurity and resilience.
