Understanding Internet Freedom: Analyzing Online Speech Rights in Pakistan and Indonesia.
This research study examines the state of online expression in Pakistan and Indonesia with the goal of gaining a better understanding of internet freedom in those nations. The research makes use of previously published articles and papers on the subject of internet freedom in both countries, which imply that the level of online restriction is high and that support for internet freedom is low. This article looks at the legal and regulatory frameworks that control online expression in Pakistan and Indonesia and the methods used to enforce these rules. In addition to this, the study investigates the categories of online speech that are most frequently subject to censorship in both nations, as well as the influence that censorship has on individuals' rights to freedom of expression and access to information. Based on the data, internet freedom appears to be restricted in Pakistan and Indonesia, with high censorship levels and low support for freedom of expression. In its conclusion, the study highlights the necessity of increased awareness and activism surrounding internet freedom in these nations and the need for legal and regulatory reforms to defend freedom of expression and access to information online.
