Trends and Patterns of Cyberbullying Coverage in Indonesian Newspapers: An Analysis from 2018 to 2024
With cyberbullying, the phenomenon of bullying and violence has experienced a tremendous shift in the increasingly sophisticated digital age. One example of this shift is cyberbullying, often known as bullying and violence, where once physical behaviors can now be carried out through digital networks. This phenomenon raises significant legal, social, and health issues and provides opportunities for perpetrators. This study aims to investigate the dynamics of Cyberbullying, including the forces behind its growth. The method used is a literature review analysis approach with data sources from Kompas.com and Detik.com media news. The analysis tool used Nvivo 12 plus. This research found that based on the data, one of the primary victims that drives the development of Cyberbullying is students. In many cases of bullying and violence, cyberbullying has more students who are victims of bullying. In addition, easy access to technology and digital platforms allows individuals to reach a broader market without facing high physical risks. This can be the basis for future research in building perspectives and uncovering other complexities. Keywords: Public Perception, Cyberbullying, Media
