Blockchain-Based Security Model to Mitigate the Risks of a Database for a Public Organization
Information management is critical for public organizations, especially in developing countries, such as those in Latin America, which have a low level of cybersecurity capacity to face increasingly sophisticated and advanced attacks and threats, economic losses, and bad business image. The objective is to design a security model to mitigate the risks of information systems and databases of public organizations using Blockchain and Machine Learning technologies. The deductive method and exploratory research were used to analyze scientific articles related to security models and methodologies with Blockchain and Machine Learning, which allowed us to propose a new security model for public organizations. A transaction management procedure was proposed for the evaluation of security models for databases of a public organization. The use of a model with layers of blockchain and machine learning improves security in public organizations, with effectiveness levels between 80% and 98%. The integration of these two blockchain technologies and artificial intelligence, through machine learning, allows reducing risks and threats in organizations, increasing global security.
