Implementation of an Integrated Common Platform for Zoo Operations
In this research, we conducted a questionnaire survey on the systematisation of zoo operations in zoos nationwide and we constructed the Integrated Common Platform for Zoo Operations based on the results of the questionnaire survey. We realised the unified management of various kinds of information in zoo operations by constructing a common platform. Moreover, we realised the education (environmental and conservation education) and the research and study aims by utilising the data in the database. We helped increase the time spent on environmental enrichment by improving the efficiency of zoo operations. To evaluate the operability, the necessity, the functionality, the effectiveness, and the readability of the Integrated Common Platform for Zoo Operations, we carried out a questionnaire survey of 19 Kamine Zoo staffs.
